Hard to fault any aspect of the entire holiday, from booking to cruising. The boat was excellent, offering every amenity that could be expected or hoped for. Especially food prep. The handover briefing was as thorough as it needed to be, and then we were off for a truly wonderful family week. Handling was not an issue, and narrow locks made it even easier. We didn't get anywhere near as far as intended, so planning routes in future needs a fair bit of experience and time. Locks, especially bigger ones, gobble the hours. The supplied documentation was fine, but we ended up using Google Maps for locating shops and dining out locations. We did manage a sort of circular route down to Worcester, up to Kidderminster, back and across through Droitwich Spa, covering canals, river, locks, tunnels, etc. Urban and countryside. Very laid back. Lucky with the weather, but do be prepared to get wet. About the only flag of note is being advised more on mooring (off season not a problem, but can prove sticky if no berths) and etiquette. Most lock keepers are awesome (especially volunteer ones) but we did encounter one who had clearly got out of the wrong side of bed. And being able to share with our dogs made it complete.

I have marked down the value for money as we booked in peak times and seem to be very expensive compared to when we normally go in march april.

Great. Could do with being comfier to sit outside & engine was noisy. Staff at site were excellent.

The support we got on picking up the boat was first class. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole process feel very hassle free. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and small though (my husband is 6'4"), but that wasn't anyone's fault other than the bed. The boat was very easy to manoeuvre and the holiday itself was a lot of fun for the whole family. I would highly recommend.
